On August 14, 2025, Sewjo launched with our very first Frocktails — and people showed up.
Nearly 150 makers filled the room: sewists, quilters, cosplayers, drag artists, sponsors, exhibitors, and friends. Many arrived in me-made outfits, proud to wear what they had created.
They came to connect, to celebrate, and to mark this moment together.
What unfolded was a night alive with colour, craft, and community showing up because it mattered.

Artists Exhibition
The exhibitions gave the night its heartbeat between the music and the runway.
Tables and walls carried work that drew people in close — textures you had to touch, techniques you had to ask about, stories you had to hear from the maker themselves.
Guests circled, lingered, and left with more than they arrived with: new ideas, new respect, and new connections.

The Runway
The runway became the heart of the night. Makers stepped forward in me-made garments of every kind — elegant gowns, playful cosplay, bold drag looks, timeless classics. Every look carried hours of work, choices made, and risks taken.
Friends called out names, strangers clapped like family, and the whole room rose together. It wasn’t fashion in the abstract — it was people walking in their own work, and a community standing behind them.
It was the highlight of the evening, and the moment that brought the room together as one.

The In‑Between
Beyond the runway, the magic was in the connections. Friends found each other, new introductions were made, and conversations flowed easily over food, music, and laughter.
#StashConfessions
As part of our August 14 Frocktails launch, we kicked off the very first Stash Confessions challenge.
It became a community favourite — a playful way to give our stashes some love and share the stories behind our fabrics.
Season One is now officially closed, but it’s not the end.
Stash Confessions will return with fresh prompts, new laughs, and more reasons to celebrate our stashes together.
